new favorite

I am loving Regina Harris's Frankincense, Myrrh, Rose oil. But it's just too expensive for me. In the heat, it blooms into this softly-sweet, fruity rose with a kind of medicinal greenery underneath. I layer it with Lutens MKK sometimes for something truly medieval.

I am milking my sample. If anyone knows of a good dupe, I'd love to hear about it!

Also, what uncommon, non-cologne scents do you wear in the summer??

  1. I'm thinking.... hmm. It is lovely, but what could replace it?

enjoy that sample while it lasts, I guess. ;-)

  2. MKK lends a bit of the medieval to almost anything.

Have not tried the Regina Harris, but it sounds amazing.

  3. Non-cologne scents: I'm more and more inclined to killer florals in summer. Un Lys, A La Nuit, today my dwindling decant of Velvet Gardenia. Things that should drown me, but I don't seem to mind.
