Ohh, sigh

If I could only wear one line for the rest of my life, and it was Sonoma Scent Studio, I'd be perfectly content. Forever.

I have never felt this fannish about a perfume house. I am looking forward to seasonal releases like a baseball fanatic waiting for spring training. If I had to have a signature scent, it would be Wood Violet. I'm a little scared that I can't wear Wood Violet into my twilight years. What if it's discontinued? What kind of old grandma will I be if I can't smell like a suffocating blanket of over-sprayed Wood Violet everywhere I go??

If you haven't tried Erickson's line, shame on you. Shame!

  1. oh no, not another line I have to test! (but seriously, thanks - Wood Violet sounds wonderful, as well as many others on their site)

  2. Bloody F, what I love about the line is that Erickson doesn't seem to be afraid of using a goodly amount of labdanum, and hers is high-quality, slightly funky and plain gorgeous. So there's this underlying muskiness in her perfumes that is very vintage-like to me. Her line has a coherent vision of womanly but not overtly feminine, grown-up scents. Pretty but not shallow. Deep but still airy somehow. I love that.

Wood Violet wasn't my favorite at first. I don't think I've ever worn a violet scent before, so it seemed strange to me. It's musky-deep yet sparklingly playful at the same time. I can't rave enough! And her prices are so unpretentious and accessible. All in all, I'm smitten!

  3. I've been toying with the idea of ordering some samples. I've only read good things about this line so far and I think I must take the plunge. A lot of these seem very appealing to me!
